Our Pastor

Pastor George Selbher was called to serve the church family at Bible Baptist Church as senior pastor in the fall of 2021. Pastor George, a graduate Iowa State University and Crown College, has been a pastor since 2013. Prior to coming to BBC, Pastor George served as an associate pastor at a Baptist church in Grantsburg, Wisconsin.

George grew up in the farming community of Newton, Iowa and helped his family farm 2,200 acres of corn and soybeans. Through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, God saved Pastor George, and many years later graced him with a marriage to his wife, Kelley. Pastor George and Kelley have three children, Josie, Johnny, and Joshua.

As a person, pastor, husband, father, and friend, George is deeply devoted to glorifying God with all of his heart, soul, mind, and strength. In lockstep with a loving leadership community, his life’s passion and pastoral mission is being used by God to empower the entire body of Christ to neighbor spiritually lost people into a saving, transformative relationship with our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Here at BBC, everyone is welcome.   When you arrive you will be welcomed at the door by our greeters.  Stop by the Welcome Center to find out more about our church, and to answer any questions that you may have.  At BBC you can expect a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, inspiring worship, and a sound biblical message. 

We invite you to join our family here as we come together to worship, grow in our faith, and reach out in love to those around us.

If you have small children, a nursery is available downstairs.  Kids Pre-K through 4th Grade will be dismissed for Children's Church after the worship music, or they're welcome to stay with you.  On the first Sunday of every month, the kids remain upstairs for the regular service, but the nursery is still available.  (Anyone working with kids at BBC is required to go through our Safe Kids process.)

After the worship service you are invited to stay for fellowship time. 

WHEN WE MEET

SUNDAYS:

• Worship Service at 9:30 AM

• Children's Church for Pre-K through 4th Grade students (except for the first Sunday of the month, when the kids remain in the regular service with their families)

• Nursery available starting at 9:20 AM

• Fellowship at 10:45 AM - Connecting with others following the service over light refreshments.

 WEDNESDAYS (During School Year):

• BBC KIDS at 4:30 for Kindergarten through 5th Grade

• YOUTH GROUP for students in 6th through 12th Grade 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
